Expat Counselling

expat life

As an Expatriate Counselor, I use to work with many Italian and English-speaking expatriates from around the globe (London, Edinburgh, New York, just to name a few).

I also provide Counselling and Psychotherapy online worldwide and face-to-face in the Midlands and Warwickshire.

In my practice I help expatriates and expat wives with intercultural adjustment difficulties related to the experience of living abroad.

Transitions and integration, Relationships issues, Feeling of Isolation, Homesickness and Loneliness, Sadness, Fear of the future, Dissatisfaction, Stress, Anxiety, Emotional ups-and-downs.
First of all, I want to tell you: “There is nothing wrong with you”.
The “expat blues” affects most, if not all of us at some point. It is perfectly normal and unfortunately, fairly unavoidable. And if you are worried or frustrated because you are not adjusting as fast as you or your partner expected, you just need the right strategies and techniques to deal with it.
We all use coping mechanisms to get through challenging times, but you know that there’s no just one right way to do something. Life doesn’t come with a manual. Each person is different; what works for one person might not work for another.
The focus of my counselling approach is on supporting you to gain insight about yourself and figure out how to overcome challenges abroad, finding new strategies and methods that are suited to you and your life.
Stop suffering in silence!
